NIOPS - Northern Ireland Offshore Points Series

The Northern Ireland Offshore Points Series (NIOPS) is a series of races organised by Royal Ulster Yacht Club. Below is some information supplied by Peter Bullick (RUYC Sailing Secretary) about the events and format.
1. Ardglass race on Saturday 2nd May 2009.
The course is straight to the finish line (South Briggs Buoy kept to starboard) at Ardglass. Dinner will be booked at Ardglass Golf Club for all interested participants, and also those in the Cruise in Company which will take place the same weekend. It is essential to book to secure a place and this should be done via the Hon. Sailing Secretary or on the notice at RUYC. The Cruise in Company will continue on Sunday to Peel.
2. Ailsa Craig Race on Friday 26th June 2009
Starts from the RUYC Battery and finishes as usual at Portpatrick.
3. Isle of Man Race on Friday 24th July 2009
Starts from RUYC Battery and finishes at Peel, Isle of Man.
4. Portpatrick Race on Saturday 5th September 2009
Starts from RUYC Battery and finishes at Portpatrick.
5. Handicaps.
All competing boats should have a 2009 IRC Certificate and a copy should be included with the entry form.
6. Declarations.
Declarations must be made with the Hon. Sailing Secretary, RUYC or his representative no later than three days after the race finish.
