Peter Lock has now completed a slightly alternative triathlon combining running sailing and cycling a total distance of 60 K around Belfast Lough raising funds for Guide Dogs NI.
Pete began his alternative triathlon by running from Hazelbank to Carrickfergus Sailing Club where around 10.30 am he swapped his trainers for a club Bahia dinghy accompanied by his pilot and crew man Trevor Kirkpatrick to sail across Belfast Lough to Bangor Marina.
Pete and Trev completed the sail in just under one hour thirty minutes.
Once there the Bahia was changed for a tandem bicycle to allow Pete and his pilot to cycle back around the lough to Carrickfergus.
Trev and the Bahia made it back to the club in just over the hour!
Pete is raising funds for Guide Dogs NI to assist others like himself suffering from sight loss and members can support and donate by going to Petes Just Giving page using the following link
The club congratulates Pete on his achievement and thanks all who assisted him with a very big thanks to TK for all his efforts in assisting Pete Prepare for the challenge and accompanying him to Bangor safely.
Also to the CSC Junior Friday night sailors who raised around £ 150 to give to Pete for his fund raising.
