Race Management Information

  • Entries will be added to CSC Virtual Sailing WhatsApp group.
  • A Zoom call will be scheduled for 1900 and the link to join it will be posted to the WhatsApp group and by email. Initially junior competitors will not be permitted in the Zoom call.
  • The first race will be opened at 1900 as near as possible.
  • Once opened the Access Code will be posted in the WhatsApp group.
  • In the interest of fairness and cost it is expected that no race helps will be used by any competitor.
  • The aim is to begin the sequence so that race start will be at 1905.
  • The sequence will be started by the host with a Warning signal at 1:15 before the start.
  • The Preparatory signal will be at 1:00.
  • Each race will be less than 10 minutes.
  • Once all competitors have finished a race there will be a short break to allow the results to be collected.
  • The time of the start of the next sequence will be posted in the WhatsApp group.
  • It is expected that there will be around 5 minutes between races. 
  • No sequence will be started after 1950.
  • The overall results will be calculated after final race has completed each evening, and posted on the Club website, WhatsApp group and Facebook page.
  • Make sure your phone or tablet are charged as if you get a battery warning you will get dropped from the current race and will be unable to re-join until the start of the next race.
  • The game will be streamed in Zoom so that non-competitors can join to spectate on the races.
